Position: Account and Operations Officer
Location: Lagos State, Nigeria

About the Role:
As TRAHI’s Account and Operations Officer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the organization’s operational resilience and financial robustness. Your role extends beyond traditional accounting responsibilities; you will actively contribute to building a culture of compliance, crisis management, and ethical governance. By spearheading the creation of internal controls, drafting adaptable policies, and developing crisis response plans, you will fortify TRAHI against challenges. This multi-faceted position offers a unique opportunity to drive organizational change, ensuring that TRAHI not only meets financial goals but does so with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to the rights and dignity of all individuals. Your strategic insights will be integral to TRAHI’s mission, enhancing our ability to create lasting positive change within the LGBTQ community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Education and Training: Develop and implement training programs for employees on compliance and organizational policies.
2. Legal Compliance: Establish and monitor an effective legal compliance program, ensuring adherence to industry practices and professional standards.
3. Internal Controls: Create and maintain sound internal controls, assessing compliance risk, and implementing corrective measures.
4. Policy Drafting: Draft and revise organizational policies, ensuring alignment with national regulatory requirements.
5. Crisis Management: Develop plans to manage crises or compliance violations, ensuring a timely and effective response.
6. Financial Assistance: Provide financial assistance for decision-making, applying accounting principles to analyze financial information.
7. Financial Reporting: Support the Finance and Admin Manager in preparing accurate and timely financial management reports and statements.
8. Budget Management: Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities, ensuring accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
9. Bank Policies: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
Requirements and Skills:
– At least a Higher Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
– At least 2 years experience in an account and operations role in a medium-sized not-for-profit.
– A background in risk management and compliance
– Proven experience as an Account and Operations Officer.
